Mr. Derenberger is a graduate of Loyola College and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has been practicing law in the State of Maryland since 1976. In addition to his admission to the Maryland Court of Appeals, he also practices law before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Maryland State and Anne Arundel County Bar Associations.
In 2007, Mr. Derenberger became one of the select few bankruptcy attorneys to successfully argue and win an appeal before the U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, preserving important rights of debtors in bankruptcy proceedings, Tidewater Finance Company v. Williams, 498 F.3rd 249 (2007).
Kristin Superczynski, paralegal, has been with the firm since 1996. Kristin graduated in 1992 from Villa Julie College with a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies. With 16 years of experience working with Mr. Derenberger in the preparation and filing of bankruptcies, she has developed a tremendous working knowledge of the process and nuances of the debtor/creditor relationship.
